Welcome to Sleepy Hollow Lodge Burney Ca.

Sleepy Hollow Lodge in Burney, California, presents itself as a modest yet welcoming option for travelers seeking a simple stay in a scenic small-town setting. Nestled on Main Street, this lodge stands out as the lone accommodation choice on that side of Burney, offering a unique, homey atmosphere often praised by guests like Sara Hartbower. Despite a modest rating of 2.4, the lodge's charm lies in its genuine hospitality, with an owner who treats visitors like family and fosters a sense of community, even welcoming musicians to play during their stay.

The lodge caters well to visitors focused on sightseeing and recreational activities within the region. It offers essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi and free parking, making it a convenient base for exploration. While it does not feature a pool, restaurant, or fitness center, Sleepy Hollow Lodge accommodates families and travelers who prioritize comfort and affordability over luxury.

One distinct aspect of Sleepy Hollow Lodge is its designated smoking area, a rare feature that some guests appreciate. The simplicity of the lodge, with its older, unpretentious style, may not appeal to everyone but contributes to its authentic, no-frills experience often missing in larger hotel chains. This rustic character aligns with the lodge’s role as a local landmark, quietly sustaining the spirit of Burney’s hospitality scene.

Overall, Sleepy Hollow Lodge offers a place to rest in Burney that feels personal and unpolished. It’s a refuge for those who value heartfelt interaction over lavish amenities—a small haven for travelers who seek warmth and a sense of belonging in Northern California’s picturesque landscape. For guests who embrace its quirks and support the lone lodge on this part of town, it remains a reliable, if humble, home away from home.

The owner is super friendly and he deserves more credit than these negative reviews gives. He gets little occupancy, and with that said, he can barely keep the lights on as is. It is the only hotel on that side of town. It is the only place that has designated smoking. He enjoys musicians playing, and I personally don't mind the old hotel. He makes you feel like family, and I will always stay there if I need a room in Burney. A/C always works great!! And he minds his own too if you get visitors no matter what time of day.
